He Knows My Name: A Reflection by Courtney Chapman

Meet Courtney Chapman: A Voice for Her Generation

In this week’s blog, I’m honored to spotlight one of the gifted individuals who faithfully serves within the Watchmen International community. It is a joy to introduce Courtney Chapman, our dedicated Ministry Coordinator.

Courtney is a woman of many roles—she’s a loving mother, daughter, sister, and most importantly, a devoted follower of Jesus. She serves with passion in the children’s ministry at Embassy City ATL and brings that same heart of service to her professional life as a paraprofessional in Special Education within Gwinnett County Schools. An aspiring educator and rising entrepreneur, Courtney is a true bridge builder for the Kingdom of God.

Her life reflects a deep hunger for the presence of God and a growing boldness to share His truth with others. I believe the words she shares in this reflection will inspire you, challenge you, and remind you of just how much you matter to God.

He Knows My Name: A Reflection by Courtney Chapman

One of the most powerful aspects of walking with God is realizing just how deeply He knows us. Not just our struggles or our prayers—but our names, our hearts, our very identity.

When I first began writing this, I thought I was going to share a message about how love brought me back. But as I prayed and reflected, the Lord gently shifted my perspective. He reminded me: it’s not only about love—it’s about the fact that He knows my name. There was a time in my life when I was searching. I longed to be seen, to be loved, to be known. And while the Lord was teaching me about His unfailing love, He began whispering something even deeper into my spirit: “I see you. I hear you. I know you.”

I remember crying out to God on nights when I felt invisible. But in those quiet, tear-filled moments, He reminded me that even when no one else notices me—He does. Even when it feels like no one else hears me—He does.

One of the most tender turning points in my journey came with the passing of my grandmother. In one of our final conversations, she told me how proud she was of my growth and how much she loved seeing me. I didn’t realize at the time how short our time together would be, but God used her words to anchor me in this truth: I am seen. I am known.

So if you’re feeling low, overlooked, or forgotten, I want to encourage you today—God sees you, and He knows your name. Even when it feels hard to press through or find the right words to pray, hold onto this truth: He has never left your side.

“But now, this is what the Lord says—He who created you, Jacob, He who formed you, Israel: ‘Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine.’”
—Isaiah 43:1 (NIV)

You are not forgotten.
You are known.
You are deeply loved by the One who calls you by name.
