Recently, I found myself gazing out of an airplane window, watching as the world below grew smaller and the sky opened wide. The view was phenomenal—mountains stretched like ripples, clouds floated like soft blankets, and the horizon seemed endless. Directly under me was the Atlantic ocean.  As always I am mesmerized by God’s awesome creation.  In that quiet moment, I was reminded of one of Scripture’s most powerful images: the eagle. God often uses the eagle as a picture of resilience, power, and perspective. Eagles don’t run from storms; instead, they spread their wings and allow the very winds of adversity to lift them higher. What a lesson for us as we step into a new month and new season! Wisdom calls us to do the same: not to shrink back when life feels overwhelming, but to lean into God’s strength and rise above.   As we close the month of August, I am reminded that every ending makes room for a new beginning. Scripture declares in Isaiah 43:19, “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?” God is always moving, always preparing, and always leading us into greater purpose. August was a full month for me—busy with work, yet filled with joyful anticipation as I looked forward to vacation at the end. This vacation was extra special because it also included my birthday celebration. Turning 47 marked not just another year, but the start of a new chapter in my life. One of the most precious gifts in this season was finding out that I will be  an aunt for the first time by the end of the year. Truly, God answers prayers when they align with His will, and He continues to show His faithfulness in ways big and small. It brings me great joy to introduce Minister Lorri Weaver. I have had the privilege of mentoring Lorri through discipleship and witnessing her growth in the knowledge and wisdom of the Lord. Our connection was not the result of coincidence — it was divine providence. Lorri often shares how she had been seeking women of God who were authentic and steadfast in their walk. In 2020, during a 24-hour prayer event I participated in, Lorri encountered me and several other women of faith for the first time. What began as a single moment of connection blossomed into a lasting sisterhood. Lorri is a military veteran and a former healthcare professional. As we enter the seventh month of the year, it’s hard to believe how quickly time has passed. For some, these past months have been filled with blessings, open doors, and answered prayers. For others, the journey may have felt slow, heavy, or uncertain. But no matter where you find yourself today — whether you’re rejoicing, weary, hopeful, or still searching — I want to remind you: God is not finished with this year, and He is certainly not finished with you. Just recently, I was part of a prayer call where the Bishop shared a powerful word — this is our turning point . We are stepping into a new season — a season of newness and change.
