A Prayer of Encouragement for the Seventh Month: Pressing Forward in God's Grace
As we enter the seventh month of the year, it’s hard to believe how quickly time has passed. For some, these past months have been filled with blessings, open doors, and answered prayers. For others, the journey may have felt slow, heavy, or uncertain. But no matter where you find yourself today — whether you’re rejoicing, weary, hopeful, or still searching — I want to remind you: God is not finished with this year, and He is certainly not finished with you.
Just recently, I was part of a prayer call where the Bishop shared a powerful word — this is our turning point. We are stepping into a new season — a season of newness and change. And while change can be uncomfortable, it is often the doorway to the very breakthroughs we’ve been praying for.
I’ll be honest — I didn’t always embrace change. Growing up, especially during those pivotal pre-teen and teenage years, my family made two significant moves that left a lasting impact on me. Those transitions shook my sense of stability and created a fear of change in my life. Change felt unsettling. It stirred up uncertainty and made me question what the future held. But looking back, I see now that even in the midst of those uncomfortable shifts, life around me — and within me — was changing. And through it all, God was present, working behind the scenes in ways I couldn’t yet understand.
Today, I’ve come to expect change. I’ve learned to see it, not as something to fear, but as a sign that God is moving. That He is shaping, refining, and positioning me for what’s next.
I want to encourage you as we stand in this seventh month of the year. In the Bible, the number seven often represents completion and perfection. It reminds us of God’s faithfulness to bring things to fullness — in His perfect timing.
So as we step into this new month, let it mark a turning point for you — a time of renewed hope, strength, and expectation. A shift is happening. Believe that God is positioning you, equipping you, and providing every resource you need to finish this year strong.
A Prayer of Encouragement
Heavenly Father,
Thank you Lord, for bringing us to this seventh month of the year. You are the God who orders our steps, and You have carried us through every high and low, every joy and challenge, to this very moment. Lord, we pause to reflect on Your goodness, even when circumstances try to cloud our vision. We declare that You are still faithful, still working behind the scenes, and still writing our story with grace and purpose.
For those who feel weary — breathe new strength into their hearts.
For those who feel discouraged — remind them that Your promises still stand.
For those waiting on answers — increase their faith to trust in Your timing.
For those who feel overlooked — assure them that they are seen, known, and loved by You.
As we journey through this month, let us not grow faint, but rise up with renewed courage. Help us to fix our eyes not on what has been delayed or what has gone wrong, but on You — the Author and Finisher of our faith.
We believe that the remainder of this year holds possibilities, breakthroughs, and blessings. Let this seventh month be a turning point — where weariness turns to worship, where frustration turns to faith, and where uncertainty turns to unwavering trust in You.
In Jesus' name,
Amen.
