Finding Stillness Amidst the Storm: A Reflection on Psalm 46 (Part 2)

Image
In the hustle and bustle of daily life, finding moments of stillness can often seem like an impossible task. Yet, in the midst of our chaotic schedules, there lies a profound and transformative practice—the art of cultivating stillness. By creating space for quiet reflection, we can reconnect with a deeper sense of purpose and peace. This intentional pause allows us to align with the present moment and embrace the calming presence of something greater than ourselves. This week’s blog is an extension of the previous week.  I wanted to provide you with steps on how to live a life of stillness in the midst of a turbulent world.  When we are in Christ, we must remember to focus on him.  Colossians 3 is so clear “Set your mind on things above, not on things of this earth.”  God told us to practice this for a reason, He knew the chaos we would experience.  The same is important when he says Be Still and Know that He is God.  It gives us reassurance, in spite of c...

Finding Stillness Amidst the Storm: A Reflection on Psalm 46 (Part 1)

In a world that often feels like it's spiraling out of control—marked by government layoffs, soaring food costs, warnings about dangerous additives, violent crimes, suicides, outrageous housing prices, rampant corruption, and even air disasters—it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by uncertainty and chaos. Yet, I want to be the first to encourage you. Recently, while listening to a respected prophetic voice of our time, I heard the Lord say, “Be Still and Know.” In that moment, I immediately recognized the scripture it evoked. Psalm 46 extends a timeless invitation to pause, breathe, and find solace in the presence of God. It opens with the comforting reminder: “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” These words aren’t relics of the past; they speak powerfully to our modern struggles, offering hope and stability amid life’s storms. Embracing the Call to Be Still The most famous line from Psalm 46 is perhaps its gentle command: “Be still, and know that I am God....

Trusting the Process

Trusting the Process: While Waiting on Answered Prayer Scripture: “May He grant you according to your heart’s desire, and fulfill all your purpose.” – Psalm 20:4 (NKJV) Have you ever prayed for something, believing in faith that God would move swiftly, only to find yourself waiting? Maybe you’ve been seeking a new home, a breakthrough in your career, or a shift in your family situation, but nothing seems to be happening. I can relate to everything mentioned.  I am in the waiting pool.  Just yesterday, I received news about a situation, that made feel some kind of way.   Or it’s easy to become discouraged when our prayers don’t receive an immediate response. However, scripture reminds us that God is always working—even in the waiting.  As I started to feel the negativity arise, I heard the Lord say "Trust the Process." Psalm 20 is a powerful passage that encourages us to trust in the Lord, not just for the outcome but for the process itself. The Journey of...

The Role of Intercessors in Revival (Part 2)

Image
To fully grasp your role as an intercessor in revival, it is essential to study past moves of God. Each revival throughout history was birthed through prayer, spiritual hunger, and divine intervention. By examining these revivals, we can learn valuable lessons and discern how God is moving in this season. As you reflect on these historic awakenings, seek God in prayer for His plans for revival today. Below, I have highlighted some of the most significant revivals from the past three centuries. Stories of Past Revivals: What We Can Learn The First & Second Great Awakenings (18th & 19th Century, USA & Europe) These revivals were marked by bold preaching, mass repentance, and a shift in culture. Men like Jonathan Edwards and Charles Finney led movements that transformed entire regions. ·       Lesson: Revival happens when people boldly preach the truth and prioritize prayer over programs. The Azusa Street Revival (1906, Los Angeles, USA) Led by William J....
